Not Only Islands: The Greater Farallones, its resources; and ways to enjoy them In-Person

Ever wonder about what is happening below the sea? This program will sail through the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary answering questions like; What does a marine sanctuary do? Why do marine animals such as white sharks, leatherback sea turtles, and whales call it home? Along the way our expert presenter will share ways to visit or experience the sanctuary.


Bio: Carol A. Preston is the lead educator at the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. She works to design engaging public programs and citizen science initiatives that invite the public to participate in protecting our local marine natural resources. In addition to her local work Ms. Preston has taught workshops all over the world helping organizations develop capacity in marine protected areas.
