Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation In-Person

Mindfulness teacher Aiko Michot is back at the library with a 4-week intro course. Sessions will focus on each pillar that makes up the foundation of Mindfulness, and will be taught as a hands-on investigation to explore the true nature of awareness.

Each workshop can be taken as a stand-alone, but we encourage participating in all sessions.

Week 1, Wednesday, 3/6: Introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation
Week 2, Wednesday, 3/13: Using Awareness of the Body to Promote Well-being
Week 3, Wednesday, 3/20: Bringing Awareness into our Emotional Life
Week 4, Wednesday, 3/27: Using Mindfulness to Learn about the Tendencies of the Mind

About:
Aiko Michot is certified by Mindful Schools. Her background in neuro and cognitive science allows for the integration of a unique Mindfulness Program in a biology classroom, and has also worked with adults in introducing the foundations of Mindfulness in Faculty and Parent Meetings, as well as offering presentations to the San Mateo County Office.
