A team of community volunteers will help you fix your broken household items. The volunteers can try to fix jewelry, small sewing projects (toys, buttons, they fixed a hammock once!), and applicances like toastes, tea kettles, CD players, lamps. The volunteers are great at lamps.
You can bring up to three items for repair (there's a little wiggle room for jewelry). There's no charge up to $10.00 in parts. If you have the parts already and don't know how to install them, the volunteers can help you.
This time there is no e-waste drive. The City hosts one in June for Burlingame residents.
If you have questions, call Cynthia at 650-558-7407.
If you might be interested in volunteering, also call Cynthia. We welcome anyone who enjoys tinkering. If you just want to watch this time, that's fine too.
