Mock Newbery Panel for 4th to 7th Graders In-Person
Be a part of Burlingame's Own Mock Newbery Medal Panel this fall for 4th-7th graders! On the third Thursday of each month we will meet on Zoom to discuss a book that's getting a lot of Newbery Medal buzz. On our final meeting in January we will vote on the book we think deserves to win! (Real winners are announced at the American Library Association Mid-Winter Conference one week later). Can we pick the winner? Join us and find out! Please commit to all 6 meetings if you can so voting will be as fair as possible!
The August 20 book is "From the Desk of Zoe Washington" by Janae Marks.
The September 17 book is "When You Trap a Tiger" by Tae Keller
