Meditation for Inner Peace

Meditation for Inner Peace

How can we find inner peace within ourselves through meditation? Join Dr. Manish Saggar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University as he explores the aspect of going within rather than without! He will discuss the blocking out of stressful triggers, finding peace by living in the current moment and all this is possible by incorporating a simple time-tested meditation technique. There will even be a short meditation sitting. This can help us achieve a lasting state of peace and happiness found through no outer experience.

Dr. Manish Saggar is an assistant professor in the department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine. His lab is dedicated to developing computational methods that could allow for anchoring psychiatric diagnosis into biological features. He received his doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin and completed his postdoctoral training at Stanford. As part of his doctoral work, he developed computational methods to understand how brain activity changes with intensive meditation training.
