A Socialist Patriot: George Orwell and War Online
Join us to hear from Dr. Peter Stansky who is the Frances and Charles Field Professor of History, Emeritus at Stanford University and a prominent biographer of author George Orwell (Animal Farm and Nineteen Eighty-Four). Dr. Stansky will present on how four wars—First, Spanish Civil, Second and Cold—were important in making Orwell both a Socialist and a Patriot.
